A quiet New Year — xAI opens Grok to business

1 min readMultra AI Team

The quietest stretch on the AI calendar, with one notable launch: xAI opens Grok to organizations with new Business and Enterprise tiers.

We keep this newsletter honest, so here's the honest version of this week: the New Year holiday was very quiet across the app layer. One real launch stood out.

xAI opens Grok to business

On December 30, xAI launched Grok Business ($30/seat/month, self-serve team onboarding) and Grok Enterprise (custom SSO, SCIM directory sync, audit logs, secure data vaults). Both add permission-aware Google Drive search with citations, unlock top models and higher limits, and exclude customer data from training — xAI competing directly for the enterprise-assistant seat.

A deliberate pause

Beyond that, the holiday stretch produced no launches or raises we could verify against a real source — so we'll keep this one short rather than pad it. That's the deal here: a weekly, fact-checked digest of the AI agents and services built on top of the models, with a source on every claim, and short posts for quiet weeks.

The wave resumes immediately — next week brings Anthropic's first enterprise deal of the year, ElevenLabs' Scribe v2, and more.
